I signed up the Yahoo! Pipes for quite some while but never got time to really experience it. Today I just come across it again fater yesterday my visit to Internet World 2007 exhibition in Earls Court Centre, London, UK. In the exhibition I met with a guy in a stand selling his piece of software which works like that Yahoo! Pipes but he is going to sell it for €50,000.00!!! So I just politely tell him that his should do so to sell at that price because it's new technology 😉 (I remember it called MASHUP SERVER technology).

Back to the topic here, I just try to make a TEST pipe here (http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/person.info?eyuid=lSogDpswo2uqNu9J6AYp), and then the result is cool 😉 I can combine two RSS feeds together. If you have good imagination and cretiave mind, maybe you can create some cool pipes???

Try it out mate, it's worth a try. Great tools for researching....

How can I make Windows XP automatically create a restore point when I shutdown or restart my computer? This is a great idea for those who always trying new software. Here is the clue mate 😉

1) Create a blank document in Notepad, then copy and paste in these codes :-

Set IRP=getobject("winmgmts:\\.\root\default:Systemrestore")
MYRP=IRP.createrestorepoint("Automatic Restore Point",0,100)

2) Click on [ File ] --> [ Save File ], then choose where you want to save the file (any where you feel good) and put in the filename as [ autorecover.vbs ] and save

3) Click on [ Start ] --> [ Run ], then key in [ gpedit.msc ] and OK. The Group Policy editor will then appear.

4) On the left column you will see the [ Computer Configuration ], then double click your mouse on [ Windows Settings ] , you will then see the [ Scripts (Startup/Shutdown) ] and you should left click on it. On the right hand-side column, right-click your mouse on the [ Shutdown ] and choose [ Properties ]

5) In the [ Shutdown ] properties dialogue box click on [ Add ] and then [ Browse ] to the file you save earlier (autorecover.vbs) and choose it. Click [ OK ] --> [ OK ] and close the Group Policy editor.

6) Done!!!

Have been using thr RoundCube Webmail and SquirrelMail for quite sometimes. They are both the webmail on my main website www.iosc.net.

Today I am installing the RoundCube Webmail for my client. I choose this webmail because it provides the AJAX and very very clean and simple interface.

I just wonder the developer stop the developing stage at beta 1? This webmail is really really cool. I suggest you should give it a try 😉

While I am trying to learn and create my own home DNS and Web server, I browse through the Howtoforge.com and saw this open source project --> ISPConfig

I have been waiting for long to see a project like this since I can't afford to buy the Cpanel/WHM. I have not really try out the ISPConfig yet but I already install it on my test platform Ubuntu Dapper 6.06. The installation and configuration seems not difficult to deal with. I will try to get it to run on my CentOS 4 once I got my new replacement HDD back 😉
