Samsung NC10 Netbook

Samsung NC10 Netbook

Among all the hot netbook in the market now, I found that the Samsung NC10 Netbook comes with the most competitive specifications and also, a good price. The NC10 comes with all the features that maybe you can not even find on an expensive laptop. The only things to disadvantages compare to expensive mobile laptop maybe just the speed of processor. I have not yet tested any Intel Atom based computer yet but I believe that you do not need a super powerful processor for a laptop now a days. New iPhone 2.0, It’s here NOW!!!

The conference is still on and I just making a quick shout first

The new iPhone still comes with the 3.5 inch screen but have more features now

- 3G Enabled

- GPS

- Compatible Audio Jack

This time the phone look a bit fat at the back (black plastic) with smaller edges with nice chrome buttons ;)

I definitely will buy one and try on after trip to Japan. Let’s see will O2 UK give away the phone for free like the BBC website stated (if you are on the high monthly contract payment)

more updates here in a social way (my personal social blog site)

iPhone2 for £100???

iPhone 2 will be selling for only £100 in the UK? Sounds possible…let’s wait for the 9th June announcement ;)

If it’s true then I will be ready to get one to try.

Fluid - An App For Mac

Fluid

Came across this piece of freeware for Mac OS, such a nice and smart application. With Fluid, you can specified the web app to become an app in Mac OS.

A more simple explanation is, you start this application, you then put in the URL (internet address / domain name) of the web app, for example http://www.gmail.com, and then you put in the name, let say, GMAIL. Then you choose where you want it to create the application, for example save it on the DESKTOP (the OS desktop folder) and you choose the ICON file in PNG/GIF/JPG or ask to use the FAVICON of the site and click OK. Within seconds, a new application will be created and you just run the GMAIL like an application in the Mac.

The advantages to create web app in this way are

1) You make the daily use web app/web site to be open easily, no need to type the same address everytime you use your Safari/Firefox

2) You can have different apps running the same time with different credential, for example I am using GMAIL and Google Adsense in different account but now I can open them at the same time by creating them as applications using Fluid

Oh yes, you may say I can do this by just clicking on the bookmark and just using different browser, but I can see that when web apps getting more popular, then Fluid definitely will be a smart way to keep yourself organized, especially for me ;) lol
